Biography

It all started for Ben in the November of 2003. This is when he decided to practice on his cheap Gemini belt drives and record a demo tape ... yes tape!

Ben got a couple of small, but local bookings in and around Nottingham. This later progressed to gaining a residency at the prolific Liquid Rush events. This is where it really all started for Ben, playing alongside some of the biggest names in the hardcore scene.

When Liquid Rush came to a halt, a new night called PureBeats was started in Nottingham by Mc Keyes. Keyes made Ben resident DJ for PureBeats and the idea was thought up of doing their sets together as a DJ/MC partnership. Every month, they did sets together and slowly started to build up a local following. This is when Keyes & X-Treme was created!

Working hard with Keyes, they strived to push themselves as a b2b duo. This lead to the creation of the GTYM mix series, which have now reached a staggering download total of over 12,000 from the first 5 mixes.

Having smashed smaller dancefloors up and down the Uk from Bristol to Preston, week in week out, bigger bookings started to appear in Bens diary. Ben has now been booked by HTID, Uproar, Hardcore Heaven, and the mighty Ravers Reunited which Ben is now a proud resident.

Bens first release (Looking Down) was one of Next Generation / Blatant Beats biggest hits of 2006/2007, featuring on the Hardcore Heaven album series and also having airplay on Galaxy Radio. Now in 2009, Ben has also had airplay on Radio 1 with the huge remix of the classic trance anthem - Signum - Comin On Strong.

In 2009, a new collective of djs has been created under the guise of HyperForce. The HyperForce collective will be in-house producers for the record label PureBeats.
